Interest Rates, REOs and Short Sales

Things are heating up here on Maui.  After a short bump interest rates are dropping this week according to indicators.  Lenders are also starting to open up a little bit more though appraisals are still an issue.  With new regulations that started April 1, the Short Sale process should become more reasonable making them a little more realistic.  Still have to have all the ducks in a row but the banks have to respond in a timely manner so this should help.

Price Changes and New Listing in Moana Estates

Not many new properties where on the Wailea REALTORS Caravan today but some good news.  First of all my Wailea Palms ocean view unit (Wailea Palms 3302) has reduced its asking price to $725,000.  There is also a Grand Champions Villas 1 bedroom unit coming on the market with an asking price of $350,000.  This is the lowest priced Wailea condo on the market!  For a residential unit a Wailea Fariways Villas 2 bedroom is reduced to $390...
